About Anuj Wadhwa, MD
Dr Wadhwa is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. She enjoys taking care of patients with chronic illnesses, acute problems, as well as preventative care, focusing on looking at a patient’s holistic health, including physical, mental, and social aspects of their health. She loves rural medicine, finding that she can take the time to build good therapeutic relationships with her patients there, and serve a community that needs her.
She has extensive experience as a physician. She went to medical school at Kasturba Medical College (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) in India, then worked for several years in the United Kingdom and Australia before moving to the United States after she married her husband. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine from The Brooklyn Hospital Center, New York (affiliated with the Mount Sinai Health Hospital) in 2013. She has since worked in Clarinda, Iowa and Chattanooga, Tennessee before joining Guthrie County Hospital in April 2024, where she works at the Panora office and sees in-patients at the hospital. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two boys as well as dog and cat. She and her husband love to travel, read and cook.
