Austin Boeckman, DO

Joined Guthrie County Hospital and Clinics in 2022 seeing an opportunity for a broad range of healthcare including primary care, inpatient medicine, and emergency medicine.  I chose a specialization in family medicine because of the ability to engage in healthcare for patients in all ages and stages of life with the unique ability to form lasting relationships with patients and their families.  I enjoy treating a wide range of illnesses and conditions and performing a variety of in office procedures. 

I am an Iowa native, growing up in Breda, Iowa.  It was always a goal to be able to care for patients in rural Iowa and improve access to care outside of larger cities.  I still have family in rural Iowa and enjoy spending time with family whenever I can. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter.  I enjoy traveling with my family and experiencing new cultures and cuisines.  I enjoy cooking for my family and always on the lookout for new recipes to try.  I enjoy golfing and playing softball, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes whenever I can!
