Steph Reinhart, ARNP
About Steph Reinhart, ARNP
Steph Reinhart, ARNP joined Guthrie County Hospital & Clinics in April 2025 after more than a decade of clinical practice in the Des Moines metropolitan area. She began her nursing career in 2007 and transitioned to the MercyOne Emergency Department in 2009, where she developed a strong foundation caring for patients across the full spectrum of acuity—from critical illness and trauma to routine emergency care. This fast-paced, diverse clinical environment shaped her passion for patient advocacy and serving vulnerable populations.
In 2012, Steph became a board-certified Advanced Registered Family Nurse Practitioner and continued her work in the MercyOne Emergency Department, providing comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric patients. In 2021, she transitioned out of emergency medicine to join Exemplar Care in West Des Moines, one of Iowa’s first direct primary care clinics. There, she practiced under a direct primary care model, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan with a focus on access, continuity, and individualized attention.
In 2025, Steph returned to her hometown to join the dedicated team at Guthrie County Hospital & Clinics. She values the opportunity to combine the clinical experience and expertise gained throughout her career with the privilege of caring for friends, neighbors, and the community that shaped her. She is committed to providing compassionate, thoughtful, and personalized care—care she would expect for her own family.
Outside of clinical practice, Steph enjoys spending time with her large blended family. Her husband, Troy, owns and operates Hometown Foods, and together they are actively involved in and dedicated to giving back to their community. They share six children: Maddyson (Ryan), Layne (Sara), Collin (Lillee), Nathan, Emma, and Ellis. Steph enjoys summers at Lake Panorama, traveling—especially internationally—and spending time baking, gardening, or reading. If she had not pursued a career in nursing, she would have enjoyed becoming a journalist or author. Her current professional and personal goals include completing certification as a Certified Menopause Practitioner, publishing a book, and eventually owning a small hobby farm.
