Guthrie County Hospital offers comprehensive Diabetes Education programs to help patients understand and manage their diabetes effectively. Our goal is to support you in maintaining your health, preventing complications, and living well with diabetes.
What We Offer
- Personalized Education: One-on-one or group sessions tailored to your type of diabetes, lifestyle, and treatment plan.
- Nutrition Guidance: Learn how to make healthy food choices, understand carbohydrate counting, and plan meals that support your blood sugar management.
- Blood Sugar Monitoring: Guidance on blood glucose monitoring including glucose meters, continuous glucose monitoring and other technologies related to diabetes management.
- Medication Management: Education on insulin, oral medications, and other treatments to help you manage diabetes safely.
- Lifestyle Support: Tips on physical activity, stress management, and strategies to reduce diabetes-related complications.
- Diabetes Support Group: Programs to involve you and your loved ones in your care for a stronger support system.
