Guthrie County Hospital’s Occupational Therapy team includes licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants who treat patients of all ages—from newborns and children to adults and seniors. Our therapists work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to help you improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain function so you can move forward with your life.

What sets our team apart is our ability to care for patients across the full continuum of care, including:

We can follow your care from initial diagnosis through full recovery.

Our Occupational Therapy department is located on the east side of the hospital in a modern, easily accessible space designed to provide a welcoming, community-focused environment.

Occupational Therapy Services

Occupational therapy focuses on helping patients safely and independently perform everyday activities. Services may include:

 

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

  • Training in eating, dressing, homemaking, and community activities

Fine Motor & Functional Skills

  • Improving coordination, planning, and precision movements

Hand Therapy

  • Enhancing motion, strength, coordination, and in-hand manipulation

Sensory Integration

  • Activities to help manage sensory sensitivities, such as sound or touch

Adaptive Equipment & Modifications

Education and training on tools and techniques to improve independence


Ergonomic Education

Home, work, school, and leisure activity modifications to reduce strain and injury
